Gunsight file extensions...?
« on: January 28, 2005, 04:17:59 PM »
Got the .BMP and the .alpha...

are there anymore?

Noticed that the sights I've done have color against the ground, but white against sky.

Is this correct?

got all of these i need to convert...

73 - the .alpha is the mask / the transparent part....

that's how you get  the feathered edges.

The gunsights I made are working, they just goto white when in the sky..was wondering if there is a way to change that aspect of it.

I think I'm getting it, but whats looning me out is when looking at the ground - the sights have color to them as the above animated gif. But when turned towards the sky - it goes to white.

I'll mess around with then some, for they are set up correctly already I believe.

maybe they wash out to white when against sky.

eek! - nm - think I got it -  - so if I combine the .bmp / and my original .alpha mask  - to where they're black with the colored sight in it - then they'll work that way in the game....?

correct, you do not need and alpha file anymore, the black is the alpha.... and yes it goes to white in the sky, color against the ground.
