$650, YIKES! Hmm, I had read they were in the $350-400 range. I'm going to a gun show next weekend, will see if any are about and the price.

Russian, the M44 bayonet is non-removable correct? I've read that the aim can be off a bit unless the bayonet is deployed. Supposedly they were sighted in with the bayonet. Have you noticed any problems with it? I would feel silly firing it with the bayonet deployed. :)

Correct, M44 bayonet is none-removable. M38 is same as M44 but with out bayonet.
I fired at 50 meters with bayonet closed and it was shooting dead-on. But I did sighted-in with bayonet closed. I’ll have to see how it does at 100 meters with bayonet extended.  I didn’t know about sighting with deployed bayonet, thanks for that info.
