Anyone see this lastnight? Man I was hoping it would be great. Th first part wasnt too bad, but the second half with the woman going around modern Pompeii asking people if they are afriad of being roasted alive if the Mt. erupts again really sucked. She was all doom and gloom, and the people were like..wtf?

Is this the one where Tom Cruise (or is it Ben Affleck) predict Vesuvius' behavior and try to evacuate the town, only to have the mayor's mother up at the mountain lake cabin and they have to drive across a lava flow to save her, but the lake turns acid and they barely save the dog?

Then the go into the subway and detect poison gas, so they realize the LaBrea tar pits are the epicenter of a new volcano, so the dig a canal to Marina Del Rey to redirect the lava flow to save the sometimes dyke leading lady from almost certain firey nasty death?

Didn't see it.

It was Pierce Brosnan who saved Anne Heche by digging a canal to Marina Del Rey?

Dante's peak was the most realistic movie about volcano's that I've ever seen.

There was another volcano thriller type movie that came out at about the same time, it was hella stupid. I think that was the one with the tar pits.
