There's some great stuff on these boards, which I'd like to forward to some friends.

How do I make a link to one of these threads? When I look at the address bar in IE, it always reads the same, www.hitechblahblah..

Yet I've seen individual threads linked in emails and such.
How's that done?

I usually use Netscape and "open frame in new window", then copy the location.

Frames are evil  .

Hi Seeker,

At the top left hand side of each thread you will see this note:

UBBFriend: Email This Page to Someone!

When you click on it, you go to a page with this in a text window:

I thought you might be interested in reading this web page:  http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum2/HTML/000623.html

You can either fill in the remaining boxes and send from there or cut and paste the link into an email in outlook, or whatever mail reader you normally use.

Hmm... Were you considering forwarding any of the threads I have recently been involved in?

Badboy

Hi Seeker,
If you just want to "Paste" a particular thread into an Email as a link. (So that the recipient goes straight to the Actual thread in the BBS) You can do this (IE5)

Position your cursor over the subject title in the Forum and Right click the mouse.
Select "copy as shortcut"
Open your favourite Email program and Paste (CTRL v) somewhere in the email). (For this thread it would be http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum2/HTML/000623.html  for example

Then if the person clicks on this he will go straight to the thread

Hope this helps

and yes, Bad boy, it's the energy thread I want to share.

I'm really enjoying AH, but I'm sure this is valid in AW too.

Who the ????? is Dose?

I don't wish to break any rules of ettiqutte here, but Bad boy.....

AW is free beta (again!) and if you find the time (yeah, right) a comparison between Fw's and La's would be well recived for this:

first frame was tonight, and it was hard work!

Scenarios are all that's missing in AH for me.

I'm not sure I've seen enough to form a valid opinion, Verm; as I'm still having to reconsider old habits and thought patterns in a new enviroment :-)

But since you asked :-)   ......

There should be more written help for a beginer. At the moment any sales pitch is preaching to the converted; dedicated flight sim fans looking for expensive quality. There's not much in the way of guidance for any one new to flight sims. Too much prior knowledge is taken for granted.

Plane sets need rounding off. There's far too many hot rods, and not enough work horses to enable a broad scenario choice. Should any WWII prop sim be unable to reproduce the Battle of Britain or Pearl Harbour?

Fewer pilots read newsgroups or boards than we gossips imagine :-) A few specialist mailing lists should be a must.

A few sorting options would be nice on the roster too.

Other than that, I'm still getting bounced while flying around slack jawed at the detail and fidelity of this latest project of Hi-tec's. If only you hosers would stand still and die it'd be perfect :-)

There's the link to the main forum page with "NO" frames

"A few sorting options would be nice on the roster too."

There is , just click on the top for the roster , it will do alot of differant stuff for ya . By names , score , squad , country , etc etc .

Been here 12 months now and still learning all the options and I read the board almost every day   Your sure right about a better man. or whatever .

Did you know that the inside map expands ?? ( insert , delete )Was at least 2 months till I learned it ! I never seen it on the zip file of commands , plus for some damned reason it wasn't mapped on my game .

Have fun ,

If you havn't tried one yet check out a "Snapshot" this weekend. Info available at
HTC website under the "Events" tab.
