lol - Wasn't trying to place it on top, just ended up next to a small airfeild (only reason I posted pics of that was due to the runway oddity on it)
I went and tried it again - built same object in OE with "is square tile checked, as well as "display terrain underneath" checked.
Same results - I'll mees with the text labels to see if that might be the problem - just saw the post on that.
Question about the Tile properties
If I'm making a textured plane (ie lrgfeild grass, to go underneath the runway tarmac) do I need to have display texture underneath checked?
The reason is - is that if I choose a terrain to display underneath - it subdivides into 4 sections over the square mile. Hence not being able to have dirt follow runways, paths if going that route.
But in Ac3d - I can create a 5280x5280 plane and texture it appropriatly to the runway layout.
So all in all just curious about the "display terrain underneath"
