How do you group and kepp grouping...

I can find anyway to come up with this:

World
 Group 'Model'
   Group 'Objects'
     Group "RWY"

About the best I can get is

World
  Group "RWY"

Once objects are grouped, I cant find a way to sub group objects....

really driving me nuts...lol

EDIT: Does this have something to do with replicating objects?

Found it to be a pain in the ass.  So much so was considering making my own hiarcly editor.

Basicly the only way I have found to make it work is ungroup all objects to the base level.

Then group the LODS
Next group the ObjectType name like STR.
Finaly group the Object, ground And Model.

Basicly just keep pushing them right, but complete the level before ading another level. And start with the right most levels.

The other method I personaly found easyier is just to do some grouping directly in the .ac file.

I tried the "replicating" and made 3 identical copies of a simple object -

Then I grouped up -

say took 2 copies of "objectx" and grouped those into "rwy"

then took "rwy" and grouped it with another copy of "objectx" and grouped that into "objects"...once more again into "model"....

that left me with..

World,
Model,
Objects
Rwy

and then 4 copies of "Objectx"

I then went to the object level and deleted 3 of the 4 "objectx" leaving only one.

Don't know if it worked the way it is supposed to, but the heirachy editor looked righ, but when importing into the OE, they didn't sort themselve into the catagories (ie, All/default, void, runway...ectt..) , But they had the object type assigned once I placed them onto the tile I was working on.

But yeah - that thing is a pain in the ass.

I'm literally gonna kick my monitor through the wall...lmao

I've got a 4-level LOD hanger I was going to try out for grins-  spent a few hours tonite doing  the object / damage lods ect...

Now it seems I'm spending the majority of the time on the heirachy of a model....

grrr...lol

I'm literally at a loss here - I like building and doing textures / skins, but putting them in the game is another story...lol

Is there going to be a class at next years conference on this stuff?
If so - sign me up!
