thebest1. I've marked the element yu're looking for in "pink" with a cirlce arround it. The element you're looking for is placed a bit outside of the regular cockpit structure. maybe i haven't seen it when i've done the experiment with HT or they've made some minor changes on the model.

Whatever. Simply try to fill the area arround the cockpit sturcture largely with the color you use for the structure and it will work.

Look at the screenshots attaches.

I hope i was able to help you a bit

Airmess -

I saved the 'California Cutie' bmp to a p38j skin directory, but when I try to select it, the game crashes.   I have a p38j.txt file there.   But it ssems to have trouble when it loads the artwork?

Oboe

I've tried it again on my settings in offline mode and it works properly without any crashes. make sure the skin directory is named correctly, the bmp file and the txt file as well.

I've used this settings:

directory which the skin is in:  ../skins/p38j1
bmp file: P38j1
txt file: p38j

material and GSITE file as well in the same directory

Try it

Found it thanks - was missing the material.txt file.   I thought it would pull a default one if it wasn't there...

Thanks for your help!

Don't think there is one yet Buzkill. Uses the default P38L sounds I assume.
