Well that what it looks like, I have flown 5 bomber sorties landed 4 ditched 1 (never shot down) and have shot down 3 fighters and where it says "points" I have

377569.5684 or something like that, whats that mean???

Points and Perk Points are different things.

After you fly a sortie, go to the hanger screen and look at the bottom of the clipboard. You will see:

Last Mission: X.XX Fighter: X.XX Bomber: X.XX Vehicle: X.XX

Those are your perk points.
