Anyone here played "War In The Pacific" from MatrixGames. Whoah, I'm not sure I can keep up with everything there is to do, unbelievable!

Do they come to the O'club much? I'd love to hear how they keep track of all the "stuff", I was thinking some sort of Excel spreadsheet for a checklist or something. I consider myself to prefer the complex type simulators/strategy titles and so far have not met the game that went too far in that regard. I'm not saying this one has, but the tutorial is REQUIRED and it is intimidating.

Just...wow! This thing keeps track of every idividual pilot and his scores, kills/assists/etc.

Brady is pretty wrapped up in it right now (along with real life). He only really posts in the A & V forum (name this threads).

But from what I understand to play a full game requires almost a years commitment.

I point him at this thread but you might catch him over on our squad forum:

Try a full multiplayer campaign........

I reckon 10 years might be enough to get a game in.

LOL...so it is on a historical time scale eh?

I still want to try my hand at it, once I muddle through the tutorial that is. There's no way I can give away that much time though, I only get to fly 20 hours per tour if I am lucky as it is.

Hi Edbert! SunKing pointed me here. I rarely come in here.

I have not played War in the Pacific. I just dont' have time. I did enjoy UV for while.  I heard Brady is playing it also.

Don't know if banana is playing it or not. I can find out if you want, or just go to our squad BB and ask him yourself. :) Post in the WWIIOL forums. He is the C.O. of that part of our squad.

I like it because it is a game you can walk away from for a couple of months and then get right back into it.  Just play a warm up scenario before you jump back into the campaign, helps to keep from making to many mistakes.
