what do you want from the new film viewer?

What I would like to see is, a padlock view that will follow the aircraft closest to you.  Use like K and L to cycle through the planes. I know you have the ability to do this from the internal view with Icons on, I would like to see this go to the external without icons.   It will be easier to track the fight between two planes.

Static camera would be nice.. but I think you would have to do that offline, unless you can somehow use the clipboard to postion it. I like that idea.

I liked the old "in-game" film viewer for the full cinematic view.
Being able to watch the film on full screen at high res instead of the 640x480 window would be nice.

Easier shifing (ff, reverse etc) during playback.

Make the joystic hat able to fully control view during playback just as yiou can in game.

More perspectives in GV films, right now I think the film only shows a view thrugh drivers position.

I heard that film does not show clouds and some other effects, I would like this fixed.

I'd like to be able to see the individual aircraft skins folks are using.  Not just the default ones.

Lets see, going down the list....

God Mode
View Controls
Fullscreen Mode....
Those IMO are the most important for the function of evaluating and understanding whats happening in the film.

Control telemetry....
That also would be a biggie.  Only concern is how does that affect file size?

Play navigation issues....
Yep

Everything else....
How will that affect .ahf file size?

I would like to see a "pause" key for recording, so I can have 1 film for the whole night rather than a hundred.   Also the views match your views as you see them flying, I all ways have to hit the home key while viewing to get back in center of cockpit.

All good ideas. Main thing I would like is to see each planes individual skin.

Formations would be awsome with different skins.

I'd like to be able to jump to a position in my long, long films (some over 4 hours) without having to wait 10 min for the fast foward followed by a solid half hour of hearing every vox message preceeding that point. Do that, get rid of the crashes, and I'm happy.

A view system that was attached to the joystick's hatswitch so when "ignore recorded views" is selected you can move views with hat switch.

Basicly add way more view options than we currently have.

i agree, also add better ground and cv record views, as it is now you can see the ship guns,  but cant see em fireing, and can hardly see gv fights....
