I do not intend offense so if you are offended sorry. But I think this BBs would be very very dull if everyone just towed the party line and did not open up debate if they disagreed with what they read! They are my opinions and I have a right to them. Don't I?

Debate is one thing, and I won't debate you on this point, but the vitrol and nonsense you have been spewing do not lend themselves to "debate".

On a different note, take a look at the beautiful Oldsmobile concept vehicle in Drifter's post and compare it to the ugly monstrosities that are being built today.

1950's cars with modern innards would be about the best thing ever.

You have that right.  Can you imagine a 1955 Thunderbird shell on a Z3 chassis?

No. I do not want faces on my car. Cheeya.....

Here's my car. Unlike your little "Oh!" so scary clown-faced cars, this one is all business:

Do you know what it was thinking at the time this picture was taken? OF COURSE YOU DON'T!

That car, the Volvo 240, my friends, has got its game-face on. Poker-faced stone cold, if I may be so bold.

Nah... My car doesn't need to look like a twelve year-old on Halloween night.

Instead, it screams "Stud".... but with capital letters.

LOL, that's my car!
Mine's a gray 89 with a sunroof; I paid a whopping $1800 for it.
It replaced my $1000 86 that I pushed to 250+ K.
Before that I had a $800 82 that went over 350+ K.

Volvo 240, the ultimate dirt cheap transportation.

I'll admit I'm biased, but I think the C6 is the hottest looking car out there right now. I'd like to buy the ls-7 motor... looks to be more than I can afford from a practicality standpoint.  An acquaintance wants the ls-6 I'm using now and he has a stroked 350 short block I may build and replace it with... it still won't be a C6 though!

zulu... I think you are either ignoring the point or not getting it...  You are riding a bike with 150 hp capable of, at most, carrying 2 people in good weather... you justify it by pointing to others who use more gas than you yet... a prius driver gets the same milage as you but carries 5 people in all weather safely... if you fall we all pay for it.   Sooo.... would you be pissed if the enviro nazi prius driver branded you as a gas guzzler and thrill seeker only concerned about himself and not humanity... virtually a one man global warming threat...

In his mind and from his perspective... that is exactly what you would be.

I don't like SUV's... don't like being behind em or going around em but... It is my choice and theirs... not yours... If they can afford it and enjoy it... letr em do it... quit acting hollier than tho..

That is the hypocracy that everyone here but you sees.

VWE, did you sell an RT/10 or a GTS?

RT/10... there were only 324 made with that blue and white combo. The 'old' Viper feels like a race car, and the chassis is so stiff it feels like the axles are welded to the frame. Also you need to be under 6 foot tall to fit or even drive it.

The new Viper has more horse power and torque but is also much more roomy, though at 6'5" I don't really fit I can drive it. Not so with that '96 I sold, very uncomfortable fo me to even get into it. The new Viper is actually docile enough to drive every day, the old Viper is really a chore to drive.
