As I said I've never frequented those boards and was only going by what was said here.

Now that it has been explained to me and I more fully understand what was going on. I have no arguement with your complaint and I would agree it has no buisness on a public board if thats what the rules are.

Now IF those rules are no porn on public boards (which is what it seems the case is here) then you are entirely correct.
But ultimately it is the board owner to decide what is allowed and what is not.
His Board, His rules. Just like here.
Now if his rules stated Porn or anything else WAS allowed in the public forums then You the reader know that, You know there is a chance you might come across something like that and if you open it anyway well then you roll the dice and take your chances.

That being said That logic about Safeway is pretty accurate though.
Actually there are a great many stores that sell X rated mags in the same rack as Motor Trend. They just put them up on the top most shelf. There are some I've seen that dont even go that far

My feeling is yes. People should run their buisness any way they choose and if people dont like the way they run their buisness then dont shop there.
If enough people dont shop there then the buisness either changes,or goes out of buisness.
Now if the buisness owner remains satisfied with the amount of buisness he gets then he doesnt change anything.
He should run his buisness his way. It is after all His buisness.

While I've posted more than my share of suprise threads on the FDB boards for my adoring squaddies, I don't remember ever posting one on CheckSix, but maybe my memory is failing me in my old age. Heh, commie pro-union double speak. They are PRIVATE in that they are owned by PRIVATE citizen who can run it any way he wants. They aren't PUBLIC in that the PUBLIC doesn't own them or have a say in how they are run.

You managed to convince LePaul to change the board because you didn't like what you saw and wanted him, the owner, operator and invester to run it your way.. You know...like a lobbiest.

No, they are accessable to the public, so that makes them a public forum, thus subject to standards of decency.
