Wow!  That look's pretty good!  Almost like Kev's.

Coupla things - I think you need to increase the visibility of the panel lines slightly now - they look as though they are being washed out too much.

Also, whatever technique you are using to weather the metal surface- put the US insignia ABOVE the layer, so it isn't affected by it.

Also, you could and a dark line at the base of the spinner where it meets the engien nacelle, then maybe add some shading or paint chipping.   That border is begging for a little more definition.

Keep it up!    The shading around the ailerons and flaps looks especially good.

Nice, theres two more steps you can do to make panels etc look different.

1) Create new layer and recolor entire panels in shades of grey, then fade opacity down.

2) Create new layer, shade each individual panel.

Can't take credit for the entire panel idea, that came from Oboe, between both of you's I'm getting these metal skins to an art now.
Even started a B-24, but its gonna take a long long time, lots of friggin panels to individually shade :(

I think the panel lines need to be moved above the weathering effects as well as the insignia to get more clarity. That individual shading layer looks great Kev/Oboe, I'll try that next time I do a silver skin.

I don't know best, but it looks a little too gold or brown to me.  Perhaps making the metal a tad darker and changing the specularity to a plainer white.

Just a thought ... I think the panel lines and rivets still need to jump out a tad bit more. All the Black and White photos that Slack has been providing really show these attributes ... more so than a painted P-38.

Great job tho !!!

OH !!! ... All you skinners are .. OFF THE HOOK !!! Thanks for your effort.
