SA and tracking reference films
« on: November 10, 2000, 01:32:00 PM »
After helping Minotaur out in another post, I decided to hit the VCR while in the TA this morning. The films below are of me [Yak] against Yawara [N1K2]. We go all over the place doing some basic stuff. Occasionally I'll pull a ratchet turn, or just yank the stick. At the end of film #2 I nail him, or could have as we were guns cold. The shot I could have taken was simple; 220 yard deflection shot with him turning back at me. Using the rudder I kept him in my sights long enough to kill him had we been guns hot.

I'd suggest anyone with even a slight SA or tracking problem watch these. We both end up going vertical, over and under each other. He had me, and I had him; more than once we could have nailed one another.

Thanks for the films...I've already been thru them twice...once in an external view, and once from the cockpit. I found myself rooting for you both!
