MtnMan,

Was a very enjoyable fight over at A77 base.  For some reason I was having some major issues with my N1K snap rolling on me.  It never used to.       Congrats on those air kills you got on me.

Your other squaddies or country men were very good sports.   No name calling, taunts or whathaveyou on 200 channel.

Did you get the base?   I wanted to fight longer but I realized it was very late and had to get to bed.  Had to be up at 7 am to get the rugrats ready for school.

It was tons of fun shooting up the M3's and the drunks when I had the chance.     I think I got 4 or 5 M3's and shot up some drunks from the C47 while in a M8.   Blauver was a royal pain in the *** in his 262 but he was only doing his job.   I saw he landed his kills even tho he had a smoking engine.

I apologize up front for not remembering all of the Rooks who took part in the fun.   I think one may have been a Freddy?   I did get a slaute from him.
Anyways, hope to do it again soon.   You guys are what keep the game fun.

I'll try to make sure that MtnMan sees this, I'm certain he will appreciate it. We ALL try to fly with honor and respect for both friend and foe. Sometimes frustration and competitiveness overwhelm most everyone's desire to do the right thing.

Hey gunner, if you see SEFreddy on, tell him I said good fight.  He probably won't remember it, but you guys were attacking our base he was in a 110 and I was in a la7 and I didn't expect him to turn and fight with me.  He did really well.  Tried to him but he logged before I could.  If you could pass it on I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Hiya SEgunner!
That was definately a fun battle at 77! It started as a few of our squadies attacking with no resistance in gvs, and as soon as they called us for supplies and troops, you guys started lifting and the fight really broke out. What started out as a quick capture really took a huge effort to accomplish! We did end up taking the field, but I know at least 7 loads of troops were needed by the end, lol.
I also have to compliment you guys as sporting defenders! It seems like we lucked out and ended up fighting a battle with pretty well matched skill levels, as well as a group of people who could fight, and live or get killed without resorting to name calling and character bashing on chnl 200. It really is nice whether you are the victor, or loser in a fight to be greeted by a friendly response and/or a on the open channel, instead of the sour whining or taunts that are so prevalent.
The majority of rooks fighting at that base were 327th Steel Talons, as well as a few other rooks, and I feel I can safely speak for all of us when I say <>, and we're looking forward to a re-match!

Howitzer,

I will pass that on to SEfreddy.  Next time I see him online I'll be sure to let him know.

MtnMan,

Wasn't sure if you were on this BBS.   Glad to see that you posted.

It was the most fun defending a base that I have had in the short time I have been playing this game.  Roughly 9 months now.        Looking forward to the rematch.

Captain Virgil,

I couldn't agree more.  We all get mad from time to time and say things in the heat of the moment.   I do try to bite my tounge and not type "junk" on the 200 channel.    Thanks for passing on the message to all the Rooks involved.

Yes, we are Rooks, always have been, always will be. Same squad was Az in Air Warrior, with much the same members, at least the core group. We flew in the FR arena, with the DDZ's and the Air Pirates. That group was called the Az Force, and was sort of a precursor to the current Rooks JSO.

I've had a few good fights with you Bob.

Salute.
