Certain pilots tend towards certain maneuvers a bit too much. I can identify a handful of pilots on the first merge somehow, but I usually can't say why I know who it is. What tells do you all look for from your favorite targets? Two examples of mine that I can recognize are Mathman's no energy gain dive heading into a fight and (although it's not as persistant anymore) manetmp's rudder slide to set up a reversal.

Shane's an easy one to spot as well.  If I see an La7 practically stall on a vertical, 9 out of 10 times it's Shane.  

Mane's rudder slide as you said, I have picked up.

Bish 38's starting with some alt, tend to be Hajo, BulzEye from the Old Turkey's.   Tey usually stick to you like flies on chit, which is how I know it is them.

i'm still having nightmares from levi's nose drop as i tried to rope him

i'm looking back, i see his nose come forward, so i start my cut over to come down and he noses up and climbs again past me and then jumps on my 6

Yea, if I see a N1K loitering at the edge of a furball it usually turns out to be Taki. Keep your eyes peeled.

Also, if your furballing low and that La7 in the vicinity "disappears" it's usually Shane who has dropped down to hug the deck thus hiding his icon - in his case it is an offensive move, one that I have started to mimick (thanks Shane)

If you see a P47D-40 trailing smoke with parts falling off and the pilots hair on fire with brown stains in the cockpit, it's me demonstrating my signature move:D  (shortly after throwing my SA out the window on takeoff)

SHawk always tries for the rope always taking his D9 vertical.
when he discovers cant or wont get you with that move he flies away to the nearest friendlies and goes for the tagteam :)

One thing I've noticed is alot of people tend to break left when  first being attacked. I am thinking these people would be right handed while as those that break right are left handed people.

Yep, that is true.  However, I think going right has some advantages (in the planes I fly at list).

I can tell if that 51 behind me is Steve.
I can tell if the lala is Shane
I can sometimes pick up SHawk

Levi, SlapShot,  Morp, I can tell its one of them but have to wait for the system message to tell me witch one of them killed me.

Your right, or should I say correct, Drediock. I'm a lefty and I always break right, unless I make a concious decision to go against my 2nd nature.

How many people here leave their tracers on to deak the opponent into thinking they're a dweeb?

i always know when its me flying because my PC is turned on and generally i have my joystick plugged in.

Depends on what plane I'm flying and how much the torque makes a diff in the handling of the plane.  But I do go left alot.  Planes like the 109 dont like to break to the right, or dont respond as fast as a break to the left.  After flying the 109s for a long time, it got to be habit for me to go left on a break or even in turns.  Like NASCAR in the air :)

I almost always break right, even though I'm right handed. For some reason I have a harder time tracking my opponent out of a left turn then a right one.
