Was wondering which is prefered for alpha layers:

The greyscale alpha map, or the texrure using 255,0,55 for the alpha.

Grayscale alpha map for fading transparencies and the .txt for sharp edged full transparencies.

It actually required a few tryouts to understand how the .txt works since the number is not always the same :)

It seems like the safest way most often is to work through existing files.. export them and use them for editing and importing new stuff.
