how does it work? how do you determine what range you are shooting?

     For the 88 at least, looks like the pointer at the top of the
sight would rotate around the range gate until you dialed in
the proper range.

so the actual aiming arrow would automatically raise/lower depending on the setting?

Furball if you go onto the link above it tells you how to use the sight. The mil-dots on the right are for the cannon tells you size to distance and the ones on the right are for the machine gun mounted next to the cannon. The triangle is the actual aiming point. The chevrons to the right and left are for leading the target.

Did you guys see from that link that standard loadout was 50 AP and assortment of other stuff. Also, look at the pictures of the tanks engaged in combat, the commander's hatches were open.

At least one of those photos look to be short range, less than 1K. Why I pointed it out was there was a discussion once about the hatches being open during combat.

That's the one thing WWIIOL does very well. Ground Vehicle combat in that game is great.

I say we need these fully-realistic optical sights for our GV's. It'd make me drive a Panzer or Tiger once in a while :D .

should have stereoscopic gunsites on cruiser main batteries and shore batteries also
