I'm looking at getting a few resin addons from Blackbox and Flightpath for the F-15s.  The aircraft are huge and I have yet to start on them.  I'm afraid I'll destroy them beyond repair if I shoot them wrong.  First time using an airbrush setup.

I never use any undercoat, but I wash all the plastic in warm, soapy water before I paint. The most important thing is to thin the paint down ( consistancy of milk, or even a little thiner) and paint very light coats.

I use raised stencil on some things, freehand most of it.

If you use Tamiya acrylic paints in your airbrush, if you don't like the paintjob you can easily remove all the paint with rubbing alcohol and some paper towels without harming the plasic at all.

You might want to buy a nice 1/48th kit ( Tamiya prefered) to get a feel working with the airbrush before taking on the bigger kits.

Now, if you are going to paint a metal finish (mustang), email me.....cause I have tons of advice for that if you'd like :)

MT, the pony is 1/48th and so is the FW on the bottom.

Thanks for the advice Nuke.  I've got a 1/48th scale raptor by Revell that I can use as test bed.  Considering I don't really like the raptor and have no clue why I ever bought the thing it's a good model to mess around with.

I think that's pretty close to the official DOD stance on it as well lol  ;)

:lol I hear ya.  Hence why I've got the two F-15s in my inventory in large scale.  Think I'm gonna try to do a bunch of modern birds in 1/32nd scale and hopefully will do the same with some WWII birds.  Tamiya has come out with a new F-16 in 1/32nd that is really wicked to say the least.  I fear I'll have problems finding some old WWII birds though in that same scale.

That white spot next to the 51 was from me.  I started getting over excited at seeing such a beautiful pony and made a mess.  Sorry.

Nice work, Nuke.
