Dan, remeber the Spit IXe, IXc thing

Looking at this we definately have the IXe

Lokking at numbers produced here

It seems strange we have Seafire IIc and not the III
Same goes for the Spit 14 vs the 16.
The III and 16 had more numbers produced than their counterparts.

Irony is the majority of E winged Spit IXs were LFs with the Merlin 66.  We really don't have any type of accurate Spit IX but a mix of 42 and 44 birds thrown into one plane.

Agreed on the IIc vs the Seafire III as well.  Probably easier to model since it looks the same as the AH Spit V.  the IIIwould have the tropical filter, multiple exhaust stacks and 4 blade prop.

I can see them adding the XIV vs the XVI though as it's a Griffon bird and a much higher performer.  the LFXVI would be nice too but it's really just a Spit IX with the American built Merlin 266 in place of the Merlin 66 in the Spit IX.

Again its an LF, which is what AH should really have at some point since it was the major variant in the IX/XVI series.

Ah well, someday :)
