Gran Turismo 4

btw, for y'all already playing it, are the automatic gear ratios still perfect? In GT 1-3 they were so perfect it was impossible to drive a manual faster.. there was no benefit to it. The dev's even said as much..but in Project Gotham Racing 2 on xbox (it's only real competitor & current king of console-based online racing), you could drive manual and squeeze out more speed, but never in the GT series :(

Nice!!

Now hopefully unlike in 2 when you upgrade a tranny in a 60s car you get all 6 gears instead of just 5.

What are you talkin about?  In all the GTs I can run a manual tranny around the tracks alot faster than the automatics.

Best way to go was to learn the manual tranny.  It was as scientifically proven as could be on the old granturismo.com boards (before Kenji totally changed the format of the site :(  )

Bah, they have the 2005 new model Mustang, but not the 2005 Vette. Also, they have a 2000 ZO6 listed, which does not exist. First model year for the ZO6 was 2001, and it had a lower HP rating than the rest of the ZO6 years. Lame. I hope the game is good, but this a bad start. At least they put most of the muscle back in the game.
