Is there any system in place to guarantee that all maps meet the same minimum system standards?
I ask because my machine loves some maps, but in other maps I see a 50 percent reduction in framerate. It seems to be because some maps are just chock-filled with trees.
I love trees. I'm an avid gv'er and love hiding in em. But I can't understand why some maps have em on mountaintops and other places that no gv is likely to ever visit. It looks cool, but it's a real system hit. I know I can reduce the range that trees show up at, but then I am also reducing my ability to see gvs as I fly over them and (I believe) cities and bases as I approach them.
I just think it would make sense to set a standard that maps must meet, to assure that everyone can enjoy every map equally.
