Sorry to get back with you so late, but have had some problems with my pc.

The e-mail address that was a part of my bbs profile was an old one.  My apologies.  That has been updated.  Please try to send your message again concerning your trip to Arkansas.

My offer still stands.

Regards, Shuckins/Leggern

I'm from Dermott originally...live now in Monticello.

My brother in law owns Austin Brothers Tire Company in Conway.

I work at DYS...Dermott Youth Services...which works with juvenile offenders between the ages of 13 and 17.  Am a retired school teacher...taught for 27 years.    Social studies and special education.

Heh.  I know where is Austin Brothers Tire Company in Conway and it really nearby Wal-Mart for sure.

Anyway, I'm from Tumbling Shoals which it's 10 miles to Heber Springs and used live in Drasco, but move to Tumbling Shoals back in 1999.  I just graduate from Heber Springs High School last year and now I'm in College at ASU-Heber Springs.

I have a question for you Arkansas guys. Don't mean to offend, though.

I drove from Jackson, MS to Branson, MO cutting through Arkansas for most of that, coming into Branson from the South.

Driving the state highways of Arkansas brought a question to both my wife and I.

Do those rusty old washers and dryers swarm the edges of your roads just after a rain or are they there all the time?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Shuckins! Np with that. Our trip is 13th-20th April. I'll email you with more details later. If you still have PC problems by then, I'll help you sort 'em out.

Many city-folk mistake those for washing machines.  The scientific designation is "rusticulated toad-stools."

Tell ya what Toad, try being so poor that you can't pay the fee necessary to be allowed to dump your old appliances into a land-fill.

There are few agencies in the rural South that will hall your broken down crap off for you.   Besides, these people are too polite to dump their junk in someone else's yard.  So they let it bio-degrade...even if it takes 50 years.

Besides, we sell a lot of these "antiques" to transplanted yankees who use them to decorate their 15,000 square foot country/log homes which are eating up all the forest land in and around Branson.

I went to arkasas once.  It was by accident, I was in Memphis and was trying to figure out the interstate system to get back to the navy base in millington.

Sometimes to go north you have to go south......

Beetle, when you get your itinerary nailed down, send me a copy, and I'll try to meet you in Little Rock or any place you prefer.
