Maybe a Sherman with a Flame thrower.

Sherman was for Infantry killing.
Cleaning out the enemy on foot.

You're right, there.  In American doctrine, the tanks were to fight against infantry and positions, while tank destroyers went after enemy tanks.

Bring the M-18 Hellcat to AH!  Tigers beware!  Don't run, you'll only die tired!

How about one of these?

Chi-Ha, the best of the Japanese tanks of WWII, but still nowhere near good enough to match anything in production by the Allies. It first appeared in 1937.

The main gun was a decent 57mm, but armor, whilst it would stop a rifle bullet would have difficulty in stopping a 2pdr, let alone a Sherman's 75mm. In time, the 57mm was replaced by a 47mm high velocity A/T gun that could kill a Sherman at 500 yards, this was the only decent A/T weapon fielded by the Japanese, this variant was known as Shinhoto Chi-Ha. This example is in the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, and is one of the few WWII vehicles there that still look like they are in the original color pattern.

Length: 5.53m

Width: 2.31m

Height: 2.36m

Weight: 13465kg

Crew: 4

Armament: 47mm, 2x MG

Armor: 8mm-33mm

Max Speed: 40km/h

Range: 240km

Engine Rating: 150hp

How about the M-24 Chaffee?  It was considered a light tank but it  had a top speed of 35mph with a high velocity 75mm main gun and 2x .30 cal  and 1x .50 cal machine gun.  It was much lower in profile and was the predecessor of the M-41 .  It was introduced into europe during WWII in late 1944.

T34 would wax any of the tanks mentioned thus far, and the t34 sucks.  (Was Jeb Stuart the one with the small turret with 37mm, and large fix 75mm?)

Not quite, as the M-24 had a high velocity 75mmgun and the lower profile indicitive of the T-34 (look at the body and notice the relative comparison). and was much lower than a T-34 but the 1944 models of T-34 did have 85MM guns which were more than a match for the tiger 1 but not the tiger II.  The "Jeb Stuart" was an M-3 light tank and the one you are referring to is an M-3 "Grant/Lee" with a side mounted low velocity 75mm and a 37mm turret gun.

All the Best...

I believe im thinkin of somethin called General Lee, or similar--we used it in North Africa before Sherman came out--stood like 13 feet tall--it could actually kill german tanks tho

The M3 was called Lee by the British and Grant by the Americans.  It had a turret with a high velocity 47mm gun and a hull mounted 75mm howitzer which had a field of fire from straight ahead to somewhat off to the right.  Unfortunately it was riveted, not wielded, which created many little projectiles o'death buzzing around inside when hit.  The M3 did a lot of service in North Africa.
