while flying...

say i want to make a film, with both internal views, and external...

i hate how the film viewer does not use saved head positions, and i was hoping to piece together a film from both for the same flight.... external views of flying into position, and internal views while lining up the shot / firing using my saved head positions.
I don't know what to put here yet.

The filmviewer does use the recorded views if you check the box called "use recorded views"

Just start film, uncheck use recorded views, set your views like you would in game, check use recorded view and your good.  Don't even have to do it everytime you start the film other than minor tweaking for a specific plane.

Now....how can you get the blackouts from pilot wounds and pulling g's to show in film....I can't seem to get that to work.

i did not know you could save head positions in the film viewer....

every film i open the "default" head is to the top left of where it should be, and looking around makes it snap back to that.

hit f10 to save like in game?

where does it save them?

do you need dx buttons set on your stick mapped to do this stuff in the film viewer? (i have everything programmed to keystrokes including my view hats in the programming software)

I save them just like you would in the game (snap view checked...hold keypad to view you want, then adjust and hit f10).  The only reason I uncheck use recorded views while setting them is because if you don't the views will be changing while you are trying to set them up.
I don't know if you need dx buttons set on stick to do this.  I have dx buttons set on stick but that is the only way I have ever tried done it....not sure if you MUST have it on or not.  I will say that I doubt it because I use the keypad for changing views as my joystick hat doesn't work in film viewer.
