A Changing of the Guard - Scenario Corps News
« on: February 22, 2001, 08:29:00 AM »
It is with great sadness, that effectively immediately I must resign both as the Senior CM of the Scenario Corps, and my position within the Corps itself.

This is not a hasty decision, and is something I have considered for the past month or two.  There are many contributing factors ranging from:  general job burnout (wow I have been doing this for almost 15 months now? :eek and the feeling that recently I'm not doing as good a job leading the Scenario Corps as I should be doing;  the fact that my personal life is in a shambles lately; My test for my Professional Engineering Licensing  is rapidly approaching and I need to be studying and focused on that issue; and several others to just name a few. I just need to put the emphasis on real life for a while.

I'll still be up and flying in the Main once in a while, and don't be suprised if I pop up in some of the events myself.

banana will be moving into the CO position of the Scenario Corps, and Daddog will take over the XO position. Both have my full confidence, since I know they will continue the excellent job they have done to date. Good Luck Guys!

I would like to thank HTC for giving me the opportunity to setup and run the Scenario Corps.  It has been quite an adventure.  Even with its ups and downs, I have enjoyed  building such an organization from the ground up and set it upon a path of future success.   I had a lot of scenario experience coming in, but I never imagined that the job of running the organization would take so much, but give back so much as well.

I would like to thank Pyro for giving me this opportunity and to also pass on my thanks to the rest of HTC for the help they have given me and the rest of the Scenario Corp during my tenure. HiTech, for answering technical questions, and adding improvements to the code that assisted us in doing our job; Superfly and Natedog for help with terrains, and the terrain editor; Ronni for all her help on scoring and webpage improvements; And Yankee... who I never really had much to do with, but I didn't want to leave her out ;-)

I am just happy that I got the Corps thru its first big Scenario, my  "Afrika Corps" creation, with such a success. It couldn't have went any better.  But I never realized how much it would take out of me, along the way.

It was a hell of a good run, and I hope to see you all at the con.

GoodBye.... Adieu.... And thanks for all the fish

Verm,

Thanks so much for starting this group and allowing me the chance to start some weekly events.  As I said before you have built the foundation we are now working on and it is my hopes we will surpass everyone’s expectations for historical events.

banana will do a fine job as the head CM and has my full support.

With the fleet from 1.5, the ground vehicles, and the host of new planes in the coming months we will be hard pressed “not” to please the players who are looking for a historical flavor.  I look forward to seeing you in some of our events.

<S> Verm, I don't think most people realize how much you've done for everyone in the past 1 1/2 yrs. Daddog and I will do our best to maintain the high standards that you created.

Godpseed and happy landings!

Vermillion ... <S>

Best of luck with the exam....

You always represented HTC with class and style.  Your positive actions with scenarios helped make my time when I was an AH player very enjoyable.

Regards,
Badger

Though I was forced out (real life) before you were, it was a pleasure serving with you.

Good Luck!
