JB42 has an MX4000 (not a 440 or 400) in a compaq pc.

yeah yeah i know, nothing we can do about that.

anyway, he bought a game that required DX9.0C so he installed it (DX that is)

now all games he plays freeze the screen (AH then loses connect), and gets dumped to desktop.

everything works on the desktop then, but the games (madden, AH, and other games) just shut down.


gotta be driver / DX conflict right? he was using 60.77 for drivers i think.

61.77 drivers would be the ones he should be using.

Sounds like he may not have removed old drivers, before installing new ones.  Just a thought.
