Heritage Flight practice
« on: March 03, 2005, 03:51:00 PM »
Just saw in the Desert Airman (post newspaper for Davis Monthan AFB) that the entire complement of this years Heritage flights are gatherd here. They will be doing the innitial rehearsals and training for all of the Heritage Flights to be done in this years airshow season. Fotunately there is WONDERFUL parking just off the end of the runway available to RV'ers :D

Practice is March 4-6. Two 51's and another bird have just landed in the last half hour. Wonderful sound of a Merlin echoing the RV park.

Shame you guys aren't here.....< EVIL GRIN!!!!>

Just got in a little bit ago. So far I've seen four P51's and a P38 practicing with a Hog, Eagle and Falcon. BTW another 4 ship formation came by late in the day. It was 3 Mustangs and a F86 Sabre.  I've got to see how close I can get to the flight line tomorrow!
