Changing the RegisteredUser on a used system.
« on: March 06, 2005, 06:41:01 AM »
Hey guys, I have a question about changing the user on a used system. I am giving my old notebook to my gf and I want to change the windows user. I have changed the windows owner name over to her. However if you go into doc and settings you still see my name listed. How do I removed my self as a user on the system. I have a registry editor, yet I have not been able to find the loc of where my user name is located in win xp to change it to hers. Can you guys help? Thanks

NM I fixed it. I ended up just having to use the recovery disk and going about it that way. If anyone knows an easier route for next time somthing like this comes up that would be great.
