Instructors needed
« on: February 18, 2000, 05:22:00 AM »
I will be in the Main Arena tonight, looking for instructors to come with me in the TA. I would appreciate a lesson in defensive tactics, as I am realy bad at that (I can evade one high con, but 2, forget it...)

I'll be in starting at 18:00 GMT.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and for your future patience with a Dweeb

I'll be in a bit later in the evening, around 10PM EST. I know that is late, but feel free to grab me anytime you see me in!

If I`m online give me a shout,or e-mail me and we can set-up a  mutually agreeable time. I suggest checking out the films on Lephturns website as well,Hristo`s 109 films have some very good examples of ACM.

To tell you the truth Saintaw, the only way you will be able to consistently evade two higher cons (if they are good pilots) is by running away.

Funked has a point, if you ever see what two dogs do when attacking a lone dog, you'll understand warfare, the lone dog's only option is to:
A) RUN! (In which case his bellybutton will get bit)
or
B)Gain a defensive posture until the inevitable happens, the dog is able to intimidate one of the attacking two, or dies himself.

Saw,

Like the others said, grab me anytime you see me in the arena or email me to set up a time we can get together.  As for defensive manuvers, there are none, only increasingly desperate offensive manuvers

If you encounter two bandits with altitude advantage your only chance is to first establish an energy paridy <sp> then try to reverse the angle situation.  If the two bandits are any good at all they will not waste their advantage by attacking you both at the same time and they won't allow you to gain that energy paridy.  In that case your only option is to disengage and come back when you have gained the energy paridy or better yet the advantage.

You can run, but you just die tired.
