So, aside from all the cool cars, what kinda times are y'all laying down? I've got all the cars I wanted, got the Force Pro steering wheel, and sat down and started learning the tracks inside & out last night. Can't remember my full Motegi & Leguna Seca times, but I'm down to 0:59.871 on Fuji 80's in the Formula car, with an average of 1:00.873 with an automatic & 1:01.402 average with manual.

Only ones I can remember are
1:45 Laguna Seca, '02 WRX STi, Stock, N3 Tires.
8:19 Nordschleife, same car.
1:05 Tsukuba, same car.
(Interesting to note that Nakaya did 1:05.9 in the same car at Tsukuba on Best Motoring.)

I don't drive the UFO type 10000bhp cars.  With the poor resolution and iffy race tire model I just leave it to the B-Spec dude so I can drive the ones that interest me.  Fat drivers, skinny tires, not the other way around.  :)
I will get that F1 car soon though, and post some times.

Or maybe it's just something really wierd about the M3 :)

OK I have to get nerdy on you for a minute, sorry.  :)
Brake bias actually has no effect on load transfer.  The brake bias effect is based on the concept of the traction circle.  By increasing the brake bias towards one end of the car, you put those two tires further "down" on the circle under braking, which means they will have less lateral force available for cornering.
To get understeer you move the bias forward, to get oversteer you move it backwards.

Also everybody BUY A 427 COBRA.
Get the Shelby one not the AC one.  For some reason the engine sound is borked on the AC version.
Anyways the engine sound, handling, acceleration, are awesome.  You can snap that thing sideways on the power in all 4 gear.  Really fun to enter that car against modern day supercars.  40 year old American technology beating up the modern boys.  :)

Hmm LoL do the AC version handle any different? I went with it cause you could chose the color.

I love the GT350R. It did well agaist all the modern cars on the mini ring.

The 63 Vette race car on the other hand, I just cant get it to handle.

I think after playing with the settings the Charger handles better then the vette.

The AC and Shelby versions felt about the same.  I don't know why they made two versions in the game.  The originals were only made in one place and AC had nothing to do with the car by that time.  260 and 289 Cobras had some AC parts but 427 was 100% Shelby American.  Maybe one is supposed to be the reproductions they built in the 1990's?

Right on. thx for the brake bias info. it's one of those settings I rarely fiddle with. I just want my car superglued to the track. :)

Roomate pulled a 6:11 on Nordschleif w/ the Formula (no upgrades for it, so medium race tires only). Took awhile to get the 7th gear set right, tops at 218. I'll post the ratio for it when I get home. I haven't been able to match his time on long tracks, but I just don't have the attention span for it.

I think it's an outrage that this isn't on PC and I am going to write to my local ombudsman about it.
