Flying the Ta-152

As some of you may know i'm a big 190 fan. But I have never flown the Ta-152 in the MA, too afraid to loose the perkies.  I wanna know how to fly it before i die in it  :D

Can anyone who flys it or has flown it a couple of times tell me how to use it properly?

I'd just fly it like you would most other 190s.  I don't think the differences are THAT significant.  The roll rate is a bit worse because of the longer tapered wings for high altitude performance.  Just get high and stay high.  It's strictly a BnZ airplane.  The 30mms are good for attacking bombers but if you're afraid to lose the perks don't attack unless you have optimal position or are good at attacking them.  Use the frontal attack or slashing attacks from the 4 or 8 oclock positions.  Or, dive below and come up from underneath.

It is basically a slow Dora below 20k.  If you fly the Dora, fly it instead.  The Ta-152 is slower than a Fw190D9, climbs slower than the D9, and rolls slower than the D9.

It accelerates marginally better, it turns marginally better, and it has better firepower than the D9.  It has a 1 ping kill radiator just like the D9, but it is a helluva glider.

The plane was made for high altitude interception of bombers, and engaging American escort fighters (again, at high altitude, 30k and up).  There is no comparable role for it in Aces High.

I got engine dead by .50 cal , few pings and i glidered from 27k without engine to home base ... was over 3 grids, about 75 miles...then i landed and break 2 m behind end of runway... i lost perks  :D

Heres a good laugh for yas
I accidently seleceted it once, i had no idea what plane i was flying at the time. After flying for a few minutes and testing it out on the way to my target, i found i didnt want to fly it and purposly wrecked it into the ground to get another plane. being a rookie that was a good portion of my points, and also a GOOd lesson learned =]
