Attention Road Runner Customers! Please read!
« on: March 11, 2005, 05:02:27 PM »
Skuzzy has been looking for a way around the trouble spots on the Internet (Savvis and Sprint come to mind)  Anyhow.....it's almost impossible to get all AH subscribers into AH without hitting one...or even both of these backbones.

To make a long story short.  I called Road Runner and voiced my concerns about whether I was getting what I was paying for in Cable Service.  I'm using RR Premium for gamers (advertised). I got a techie on the line......explained my (and your) problem with Savvis.  I stated that I doubt I am getting the service I am paying for....not the fault of RoadRunner, but because of Savvis.  Explained that my connection is 300% slower at the StLouis hop before server which is Savvis.  Also sent tracerts and text files of pingplotter to back up my claim.  His first response was" that's not RoadRunners problem."  I said to him..."it most certainly is!"  I am paying for a premium service that is of no use to me.  Even the normal roadrunner Cable user is not getting the service that he or she is paying for because of the problems with Savvis.  He thought for a moment....came to the realization that yes it was a problem for RoadRunner also.  I told him I might as well get DSL if this continues.

Please Hold!   I agree he said.......thought on what we could do besides report this to RoadRunner.

OK....here it is folks.  Get your EMail programs warmed up.  If enough of us send mail to this address about the problems we are having with Savvis (also mention why pay for cable)  Anyway we can try to get some attention and action at the following address.

abuse@rr.com   also security@rr.com  send your pings, hell...send your mother in law! And explain the problem in your email to them.

Time Warner is a large company.......they can exert pressure.

Heck....we need to do something to justify our broadband connections and subscriptions with roadrunner.  Maybe just maybe someone can tighten the screws.

Also....other broadband users....find out who you can call or write to about this problem.  Someone just might notice.

Worth a try.
