Juxt bought a GeForce FX5700. It will fly AH for 5 minutes and lock up solid w/the cpu howling. My best friend is a very good pute technician but dosn't game...he uses the same card but no gaming w/it. We've done everything possible to make it work, no can do. Anyway, it's going back.

I'm already overbudget on a complete upgrade so the following cards are my options;
GeForce 6600 PCI Express 128 (new mobo coming supports it).
" " 256
" " AGP 128

or Radeon 9800SE
" " 128
" 9600XT 256
" " 128

The system build will be Gigabyte K8Ns 939
Athlon64 3000+

Anyone with any experience with these cards in AH would be of enormous help. I sure hope this is the last time I have to bug you all for advice....you've all helped a great deal! Thank you!, az

ive got the 9800 pro and it works good for the system i have.

out of those three cards the 6600 is the fastest. BUt there is a big difference between a 6600 and a 6600GT , if its at all possible i would try to get the GT, seen them for $180 for pci-e. GL

EDIT: I just looked at the GB k8ns 939....It doesnt have a pci-e slot , Unless you are buying a different variation of the board , but you might want to double check that ..

NP glad to help 8) . i think you can get the 6600 plain version in agp , i know you can get the 6600gt in agp thou . 38
