Basically, I was exporting flat coplaner surfaces (airfelid grass, factory grass, runways, lots, ect..) and changing a texture, renaming them and then saving and exporting back into the object editor.

That way I could have some new objects for use.

Well the zbias never worked once in the Terrain editor and once the map was built.

So I went and opened the exported ac3d files with notepad and changed the texture name line only to the textures I was doing...

Imported those back into the object editor - same thing...

then I went into ac3d and added the Zbias=16 line in the heiracrhy. Zbias=16 is what they use for ground / runways.

Anyway - that didn't work...But one of the files by mistake I had typed zbias=1, and that one worked...lol

also one of the axis' is getting reversed from what you see in ac3d, to what shows up in object editor, so o spent a good hour trying to see if that was the cause in some way...lol

I guess without the zbias tag - even the sorting order on the object editor wont work correctly.

It is the Z-axis that gets mirrored in the conversion.. both th eobjects and the texture.

What kind of problems did you have with those co-planar objects? Did they flash through eachother or did the other objects on thope of them disappear under the terrain objects? .. or both ? :)

I have also tried palying around with the ZBias=16 and Terrain=1 settings, I got rid of the flashing, but e.g. building objects still disappear under the terrain from some view points, while they can be seen from other angles (in TE).
