Correct, you cant under XP Pro

Try it.  Two dynamic disks.  You wont find a mirror option.  Searched high and low on MS's site.  Servers can.  I have 2 Windows 2000 Server's that are running a config like that (2 SATA HDDs, RAID1/Mirror).  In Windows 2000 Server its directly supported (and works great).  Just not in XP Pro.  I thought for sure it was....maybe they removed it?  But according to their own knowledge base, its not supported

Maybe if you have a RAID card...I had a Mylex a while ago that handled all the raid stuff and MS saw it as one drive.  Few years ago, had 256mb of ram on the card itself, sure worked nicely with two UW SCSI drives.

Maddog your running the mirror using the RAID hardware. XP is unable to do software mirroring.

If you have a look around the internet you will find a work around that allows XP pro disk mirroring.

I think it involves copying a few dll from win2003 server.

It the motherboard has onboard SATA RAID it doesn't matter if XP itself has it.
You set up your RAID in the motherboard BIOS, during XP installation press F6 to load the drivers.

FWIW, I've got the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe with two BFG 6800 GTs.  In AH2 at 1280x1024, max FSAA, max Anitaliasing, all view details set to max in AH2, and animated water turned on, I've gotten 310 fps.
