wouldn't it be easier if everyone was muted to start and you selected who you wanted to hear?

vox is so annoying it is turned off 99% of the time
it has just about ruined the old ' check 6 command - hardly anyone uses it, too much work i guess..

or at least have a permanent squelch list option

Yeah, having all those other people on line sure is a drag for
an otherwise fine massive multiplayer online flight sim

I don't know who Eagler is so why would I ever select him? :D

Say there are 3000 people who play Aces High, after you got the list how would you know who might say something useful to you?

Unless you only listen to squaddies and they are always on.

i dont got enough perkies as it is and i like upen my lancs to kill 1 dang t 34 or wirble its fun droping 42 bombs

I know they'd never reverse squelch, though the option would be nice or a check "all" box which would squelch your country
.. but a nice txt - dat file squelch list would be great

While the occasional bozo can be annoying, any squelch all or default squelch kind of defeats the whole idea of a massive multiplayer immersive game.  The vox adds a wonderful sense of atmosphere too.

The options I would like to see are:

Range selection of 5, 15 or 25 miles for local chanel...I dont know if its doable, but in extremely conjested areas, it would be nice.

I would LOVE to be able to put vox on a single speaker....like my CENTER speaker in my 5 speaker setup.

I think it would be neat if you could 'mechnize' vox based on distance so that farther away people sounded different (think the distortion is the original StarWars deathstar attack scene)....I would also like the option to diable that feature all together or just for squad channel.

I would also like squds to have assigned channels that non squadmates need to ASK (and can be booted off of) to join.

Geez....Im demanding today:D

Good Idea! Then we can all go through a list of 300-600 people we do/don't want to listen to. The only vox i listen to is squad and range. So i can listen to my squad mates and listen to the stuff happening near where I am fighting. Last time I checked 6 for someone he yelled at me! Yes! And hurt my wittle feelings to!
Peace
