Frame 2 Results from Turning the Tide
« on: March 12, 2005, 12:08:59 PM »
Gentlemen,

With 121 Allied players and 97 Axis players the following took place.

All the Allied targets were successfully destroyed. The fighter hangers at A35, A37, A45, and A50.

The Allies shot down:
52 Fw-190’s = 520 points
18 Bf-109’s = 180 points
Destroyed 4 targets = 800 points
Penalty points – 600 *for squads going over their numbers
Total = 900 Allied points

The Axis shot down:
20 P-47’s = 200 points
10 P-51’s = 100 points
50 B-26’s = 750 points
16 P-38’s = 160 points
Defense points = 0
Total = 1210 points

*Defense points are given to a side if they are able to keep an enemy from destroying a target. For example had the Allied been unable to destroy the flak factory the Axis would have received the 200 points for it. Had the Allied only destroyed ½ the target then each side would have received 100 points.

Attendance
There were some costly attendance points for squads going over their limit. Remember you can go up to 2 pilots over your limit. For every pilot over that there is a penalty of 100 points per pilot. This happened a couple of months ago if I recall correctly and cost a frame for a side. C.O.’s you have to ask your guys to sit out, fly as a gunner, or an observer if too many show up. We obviously do this to keep the sides balanced.

Allies:
68th Lighting Lancers 24 (28-34)
Lost Souls 4 (4-6)
325th Checkertail Clan 5 (4-6)
412th Braunco Mustangs 5 (7-10)
56th Fighter Group 9 (7-10)
Airmageddon 7 (4-6)
Arabian Knights 10 (7-10)
DoW 8 (4-6)
Shillelagh 10 (7-10)
USMC 18 (11-15)
Sick Puppies 9 (4-6)
The Damned 12 (4-6)
*If anyone had someone flying as an observer please let me know and I will correct that. Or if they were assigned as a gunner again let me know and I will add the points back in.

Axis
Grave Diggers 2 (4-6)
FATE 14 (11-15)
C Hawks 9 (7-10)
Marine Air Wing 6 (7-10)
332nd Flying Mongrels 12 (11-15)
65th Fighting ***** 7 (4-6)
III Jabostaffel ES 15 (11-15)
Jagdgeschwader 26 6 (7-10)
Nightmares VMF 101 22 (16-21)
Rouge Squadron 4 (4-6)

This frame would have gone to the Allies, but the loss of points for squads going over their limit was costly. Not to mention the loss of 50 B-26’s.

As always if you see any errors or know of scoring anomalies please post them here and I will adjust accordingly.

Aces:
38MAW – 8 kills
Leviathn – 5 kills
gOOseCH – 5 kills

Top Bomber Pilots:
TracerX – 3 Fighter Hangers
NIB – 2 Fighter Hangers
DOWfog – 1 Fighter Hanger
DOWjambu – 1 Fighter Hanger
Muttman – 1 Fighter Hanger
ODIEMILO – 1 Fighter Hanger
USHilDvl – 1 Fighter Hanger
USSgt82d – 1 Fighter Hanger
DmdDano – 1 Fighter Hanger
DmdGordo – 1 Fighter Hanger
Rs44 – 1 Fighter Hanger

Orders for Frame 3 will go out tonight to:
Allied Tango - 412th FS Braunco Mustangs
Axis iceMAW - Marine Air Wing

Daddog,

USMC had 18 because we a a new piolt to aces high RIDING as a guest observer, Skdmrk. He was riding with Tracer, in a gunning posittion on a B26 but I dont think he ever pulled the trigger:)  This was pre-approved before the event started. That means USMC was only 17 PLAYERS.

Yeah sorry the Damned had so many over. I thought I had our strength listed at 5-7 but either way we're way over anyway. The last couple of frames we've just had a lot show up. A good problem to have actually but it is costing us points. I'll see if I can get that number tuned a little with a post to the squad list.

umm, Daddog... you forgot to list an Ace. ;)

Although he's too humble to list it, Daddog shot down 5 and landed the kills. WTG Daddog

Sick Puppies 9 (4-6)
The Damned 12 (4-6)

These squads where in my mission and I alloted 8 positions for each they had gunners  they where not over the limit as far as I know and if they where . Come on guys up your numbers or have them join another squad that is low. We can not keep taking penatlies for mistakes.

Logs seem to have Sick puppies with 8 pilots and 1 observer, and USMC with 17 pilots and 1 observer. But the Damned had 12 pilots.

So, as long as gunner/observers don't count, then only the Damned went over. And that's just because Jordi doesn't understand special events. He just thinks he's in the MA.

Thanks Sled! All is good then. I will correct the score. :) Thanks for letting me know. Even if you guys are over they can ride as gunners and shoot all they want. :) That is never a problem.

Rgr Drano. Have all those extra guys gun on some B-26’s. :)

Ya Dux it was a good night for me. :)

Rgr Sikboy. Extras can observe all they want. I will adjust the score.

Updated Score

The Allies shot down:
52 Fw-190’s = 520 points
18 Bf-109’s = 180 points
Destroyed 4 targets = 800 points
Penalty points – 400 *for squads going over their numbers
Total = 1100 Allied points

The Axis shot down:
20 P-47’s = 200 points
10 P-51’s = 100 points
50 B-26’s = 750 points
16 P-38’s = 160 points
Defense points = 0
Total = 1210 points

The score difference is now only 110 points. Frame 1 (which I just corrected an error TracerX pointed out to me) the difference was 125 points. At this point I would call it a draw again. Personally anything over 200 points difference I call a victory, albeit a minor one.

Might I suggest?

In the future COs and XOs post on this board who they had for extras, and there participation. saves on corrections later. This could be done right after the frame.

Example, Right after Frame 3 of "Turning the Tide" First one to the BBS will start a thread "Turning the tide Frame 3 extras" all other squads can post their extras there.

thoughts?

Sick Pups did fly with 1 extra as a gunner/observer.  Sorry for any confusion this has caused. I will make sure to post after the event if this happens again.

to a most excellent frame!

That is a good idea Sled.  I will try to give a proper notification on any attendance issues as soon as possible after the event.
