Which codec do you use?
« on: April 12, 2005, 06:25:47 PM »
Hey guys!

I just got a sweet system and I want to start making some serious movies on it. There's only one problem though: none of the codecs seem to work! I have tried everything, but no matter what, I can't convert .AHF to .AVI. Any help or suggestions on how you get your videod converted would be appreciated!

Thanks! -Paul :aok

I'm using the Aces High Film viewer. But none of the compressors seem to work.

Be sure to make em short, have heard around 30 sec works.

Also found that the film viewer doesn't like odd names.

Might want to look into FRAPS, great piece of software for video capture.

Use FRAPS to capture film you are PLAYING in the film viewer.  Then you can edit and reencode in a dedicated program.  I tend to use windows media for distro just cause its reasoably small and is 100% compatable with windows users.  I use mpeg 4 for my personal compression.
