Great review...

I'm torn between my desire to play it and the fact that I really don't have the time to pour into another sim.

It's tempting though.

I find DW a lot more fun than SHII. So I think I'll pass.

Also I'm a bit skeptical of any review that starts with a flash advertisement of the game, lol, and ends up giving the game a perfect 100.

suave, buy both!

although neal is a little bit biased, i have little doubt that SH3 will be the Il-2 of submarine sims in terms of quality.

btw, if you're up for DW multiplayer, hit me up on my email.. i can give you the teamspeak server a bunch of us have been using and its a very good group of players. ive been getting my butt whipped every ngiht :D

Funny you should say that, I took IL2 back to comp usa, lol. I played SHII for a bit, rented it on yahoo, it was fun but I wouldn't buy it, I'm not much of a wwII buff.

If one was a wwII submarine game enthusiast, then shIII would be the game to have.

You can't compare SH2 as a reference for SH3  to DW.

From all the reports I've read and seen I've no doubt that it will be the greatest subsim ever released if not the best sim overall. Just for the crew management and  3D enteriors it's worth the price of admission in my opinion. Add the graphics, environment,AI and details like crowds waiting on the dock on your return plus a dynamic campaign and it's a sure thing.

As for selling SH2 that's a shame as with the Pacific Aces mod it's a good sim and entertained me for hours.

Now hear this: Stand by for renewed We Need Subs In Aces High ... dive dive dive!

Thanks for the link, Gixer.  SS3 got a perfect 100 rating thanks to a couple bonus points.  But point is made -- have never read a more flattering review of any sim.  Haven't gone sub-ing a long time but it's clearly time to resume.
