No aiming points with Tank Gun or ship batteries
« on: March 19, 2005, 08:11:48 PM »
For some reason I cannot see the aiming reticle of the tanks main gun or the aimng reticles of the 5 inch dual purpose guns or the Main guns of the cruiser or the shore batteries.

The Tank gunsight does show the range markers, just no reticle beside it.

I searched thru the Board, but did not find this particular glich.

Thanks.

The 5" gun marker has a sorting issue with smoke and fog. If you move the gun up and away from smoke, it should reapper. It WILL disappear again, so put your mouse over it.

The rest I'm not sure of. This is the only thing I can think of, and it doesn't sound like the problem, but hey. Also check that your video drivers are up to date. If you're running an FX5xxx series card, Skuzzy has a reccomended driver version for it. Can't remember what it is though.

It also seems Intel video chips cannot handle the new gunsites.

The driver for the FX5xxx and older NVidia cards is the 61.77 driver.

Intel chip nails it, found a solution by using the mouse cursor as a zeroing gunsite in the tanks and I also loaded the latest drivers and it sounds like Intel is aware of the problem and the tech I talked to will look into it or so he says.

Thanks for the help
