I keep the Z key mapped to one of my stick buttons so I can flip it back and forth in a dog fight for better gunnery.  I found it doubled my hit%, and it saved me alot of greif not having to look down to the keyboard to find it when I needed it.

Yeah...I use zoom a lot which causes me to ram. Can't judge speed well in zoom.

I sure as heck hope you are using zoom at 1.5k out to see them turn, cause if not I am coming over and stealing your monitor.

Howitzer, I am into improving the overall as well.  I currently am at 3.2 k/sortie and 6 k/deaths while my hit is bout 11%.  I am trying to pick up K/Time as well but that involves getting real good at killing the guy on your 6.  I have been going to DA as much as possible to acquire different techniques on how to turn a enme 400d out on 6 to toast.  I have tried to learn from as many as possible but find that in MA u must pick the battle very carefully.  If you see one winding down dont up, you'll just end up flying around chasing ailerons amoung the horde, thus killing K/Time.  The cv battle someone mentioned is not bad idea, but best to pick battle with many enme and fly no higher than 6K or so.  If enme is higher than you, let them come down, evade/reverse and kill them as they attack.   I am just getting started at mastering my flying technique and I can use oll the help I get.  Also, it helps to fly with good fighters and watch what they do.  I recently joined a squad so that I may be in company of many great fighters but that didnt quite work out as I am an annoying person. (Then again I could have been just getting jerked around)      But I do suggest befriending people who know and learning from them.   Simply put, the skill to accomplish the feat must be in place, then picking the battles comes second.  I hope this reply wasnt to annoying.    P.S.  anytime you want go DA to work, just text me.  I usually game.

Did I just shoot you on the runway, or did I try to make it entertaining by dropping a bomb or a laying a couple rockets on your smoking shell of a plane?

No, wait... it doesn't matter, it counts either way  :lol

SkyRock, glad to hear things are working out well for you.  Thanks for the DA offer, and I may take you up on it some night when I have more time to play

600mph yes. Its a 262 and you will get lots of kills that way... yes with them quad 30mm taters.

I used to get the 262 up, fly to 15k and fly in and out of engagements always flying at 600mph... nothing short of another 262 can touch you...and even then the other 262 wont be able to speed up to catch you once you going 600mph.

The 262 is a slash attack plane.. you come in so damn fast the other guy has little time or no time to react, use just 2 of your 30mm's , blow his plane apart and fly on to the next one. never turn or zoom climb unless you're waaay in the clear of hostiles.

You won't land many 15+ kill single sorties in a jet buzzing around at 600mph. Anyways, enough about jets.. they're too easy.

Eventually you'll learn how little stats matter, and how tedious it is flying to get good stats. If you're a good stick, the stats will follow, regardless of what or where you fly. A lot of it has to do with being able to kill the guy on your 6. Kills/hr is probably the most arbitrary stat... it depends on the time of the day you fly, where you fly (in a giant horde of friendlies, vulching (loser!), or against a giant horde), and what you fly (you're gonna kill faster in a spit or 190a8 than a 109 w/ taters, usually). 10 kills/hr should be doable in most planes at most times of the day when you're not trying for stats.

My advice is to ignore your stats and fly around low in a jugg or 109 (something along those lines - no la7's) and get a handle of reversals and overshoots. After you get a handle on that, your stats will be more reflective of your ability than your effort put into getting them.

1.  By another computer.

2.  Open a 2nd account, don't make it obvious like Howitzer2 or anything.

3.  Play early in the morning when no one else is on.

4.  Vulch yourself silly
