someone named "leslie" is calling me a sissy?   and...

if it takes 15 minutes for a country to whip some tiny little island and I hold out for 20... or even if it took a nuke power 15 minutes to whoop the little pissant of an island and it took me 20 or 30 with my bare hands... still ain't too bad in my book.

You're not a sissy.  Was said in a friendly way, but you're right Lazs and I can't fault you.

Dunno what else to say.  I feel like a fool.

boroda you need to get rid of that puten guy.  He is bad bad news for people in russia.  You folks need to step up to the plate and grab your own balls for a change!  Your people have done tremendous things in the past century.  Its amazing your still such a hobbled decadent poor society.

And to those that think the US should rid itself of its defensive nuclear capability at the expense of north korea and iran, your nuts and dont deserve a chair at the smart table.

Well, should we pay for occupation of France and Belgium? Especially Belgium :D

I don't know for Belgium but I know that in WWII the German were compared with the Russian occupants and the conclusion was  not in favor of the Russian.
Conclude what you want.

You definetly must be ashamed of invading Russia in 1812. As usual - Russians ruined another dream of world domination, liberated Europe and retreated.

My god Boroda :D you're pushing a bit to far :D
If the Romanov were democrats I'm the next queen of England :p
Shall I remember the 3 year occupation ?

We got used to it, done it several times, it's funny but still a little expensive.

Funny ? :lol

Robbed?! Did we rob African countries? Did we rob Indochina? Sorry, USSR discovered huge resources in Siberia, populated by Russians, Tatars and other nations,

You said it : other nation.
They didn't joined the Empire or the Union freely
That's why I used the word "Robbed".
A french example would be the Alsace-Lorraine ,do you see more clearly my position ?

Looks like you need to get back to the borders of, say, 900AD? :D

Well it's almost our actual continental borders :)

You would have better say : the Hugues Capet Borders.

So recognising why smaller countries might conceivably feel they need nukes equals advocating proliferation? Yeah ok homer.

As far asI can see, advocating that everyone with nukes gets rid of them in order to lead by example is far from advocating nuclear proliferation.

Otherwise it's "you can't have WMD mr Korea, Iraq, Pakistan etc, but WE can and so can our freinds, Israel, GB, France etc" Do you guys see how arrogent and what a bunch of hypocrytes you sound! I wouldn't bloody listen if I was them. But I might if it was "You don't need  WMD because we don't have them and come and have a look if you don't quite believe us! Now lets talk about helping to boost your economy and improve living standards for your people" They Might sirt up and take notice then might they not.

And if not,

Those players like USA , France, GB Russia etc. Should give up nukes along with everyone else. They have a vast tech superioty in weaponry over countries like NK and PK and India etc who have nukes. If those countries don't follow our example threaten them with superior conventional weaponry if they are that dangerous. I bet even the Chinese wopuld be happier if that whole region had no nukes.

Now as for Lazs Comment about us feeling safe during the cold war because of the US nukes stationed here. We didn't feel safe we felt like we'd been made a target. And many many people wanted the bloody things off our little Island.

skydancer... the bad guys shouldn't be allowed to have em.

boroda... which russian political regiem in the last 10 centuries or so do you like?   I have no problem with russian people on an individual basis but they sure do have lousy political systems... about as bad as any I have seen... unless you are going to tell me that stalin didn't really kill all those people or that he only killed a10-20 million of his own people who were bad guys or you are going to tell me that the russian army was beloved by all.

how mamy captured german soldiers were ever returned to their country?  In the USA we had to allmost force german POW's to leave.  In your country during the peak of your power you had to wall people in... No Americans had to be guarded when in russia so that they wouldn't run off and seek russian sanctuary.

I am not ashamed to tell people I am an American... this during the peak of our power ... you claim to not be ashamed to be a russian... and why not?  people are relieved... they know that you are relatively harmless these days... at the peak of your power you were universaly hated and/or feared as a political power.   When the soviet union collapsed... countries couldn't declare independance fast enough.
