Battle wounds

Yummie what a testosteron filled topic... I can't resist :D

Most of them as a scout (boy scout... you know the youth movement?)

1 1/2 inc (4 cm) scar both underside and upside of right foot. Jumped from a roof on a rather sharp iron pins sticking out of armed concrete (old WW2 bunker). Wearing thin soles my right foot went straight through. age 11 (scout)

4 inch scar just left of my right shinbone. Mate was chopping wood with an axe and the axe itself came loose from the handle and nested itself in my righ lower leg. Age 12 Was deep too. (scout)

1 inch scar left back shoulder. Angry mate throwed a pocket knife at me (scout), don't know how old I was back then.

1 inch scar on my left sheek. Runnin through woods chasing someone (game) a tree branch hit me right in the face. Stitches went bad and made it a rather bad scar. My girlfriend likes it tho :D

Not a scar but a bump in my skull... hit the ground head first playing rugby. Got up a few mins later, next day at school I fainted. Rather bad concussion.

1 1/2 inch scar stopping a knife during a fight. I was pushing the guy because I didn't believe he would stab. When he did I thought better my hand than something else. 18

Both knees operated, miniscus (don't know the word in english) removed.  Rugby is hell for the knees.

Broken rib (left side) near the breastbone. It's still a bit lower then the others... Did a jumping course with the Belgian 1st parachutist-commando brigade (they do that during summer holiday for kids). Landed wrong.

So I think I classify for the darwin awards :D Scouts sure can be dangerous.

What's funny do is how those scars change over time. For example... the one on my right lower leg started out about 2 inches below my knee... but now (28 so 16 years later) it's about 2 inches above my foot. So it's moved a couple of inches down :D
