Heck Oboe if your going to the Mojave Desert your not far from me.  Heard Wings of Fame is one of the best places to go down here for warbirds.  It's about an hour and a half from me or so.

Well I am back safe and sound and had a great time!   Whenever I come back from a trip to the Southwest, I usually spend a few days wondering why the heck I still live in Minnesota.   Sipping coffee at an outdoor patio table yesterday morning at the Palm Springs Airport, sunny and 70s, and no mosquitos to slap!   How can you beat that?

We did spend an afternoon at the PS WWII Air Museum and I got reacquainted with many of the warbirds who used to reside here at the Planes of Fame East Museum in Eden Prairie.   I really felt bad when they packed up and moved but after seeing their new digs can't say I blame them.   Toured the B17 and watched Stan Stokes work on a mural of Presidential transports.   Walked around all of the exhibits and took plent of photos; I'll post a few shots when I get my film developed.
