Ah crap sorry bro.  I'm playing the Grey Goose Gateway Tour in Phoenix.  I haven't done well so far, but it's still early in the year and I have a lot of catching up to do with the guys I play against. I went to a small Div III university where I didn't get much time to practice because the school was so difficult and before that I was a 3 sport athlete in HS that didn't worry about golf until golf season came around so compared to the guys I play against, frankly I'm years behind in practice.  However, I really believe that I have a lot more naturalt talent than anyone I've seen out here and all it is going to take is hard work to catch up with these chops and start whooping them.  I'm seeing Jim Flick (gonna see him tomorrow in fact), who taught Jack in his prime among other great players, and he's really the first person who I've worked with that sees it all and can really help me.  Sky's the limit my friend.

So the desert Series is what your playing? If so cool. Hey I admire you fro trying to fulfill a dream man. More power to ya. Hindsight being 20/20 I sometimes wish I had of when I had the chance. Course things may not have worked out the way they have and I may not have met the best wife in the world. So all things being equal I guess it all worked out for the best.

Chasing that elusive dream is very admirable. I hope you make it. Don't know your real name so I can't watch the leader boards for you.

Flick is a great teacher so I am told. I had a couple lessons from Bill Moretti here in Austin. Very good teacher at the Academy of Golf at the Hills of Lakeway. I enjoyed them very much. this was a few years back. They have a 1st class facility out there and a great golf course.

Senior Tour plays the Kinko's Classic there. saw Jack Nicklaus last year. Watson , Kite , Crenshaw just to name a few. A guy I played golf with quite a bit named Steve Veriato played. So I went to watch him mainly. His wife and I played in a local yocal event as partners. She hits it about 270 or so off the tee. It was funny to watch her against the women at the club I belonged to. She'd blow it by em 70-100 yards.

Anyway....I wish you the best...If I ever get your name , I'll keep up with ya. Take care...and Best of Luck.:aok

I think the pacific series (2005) since it seems the desert series is later in the year.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

Well.....interesting question.:)

Hard to go agaisnt Woods. I'm NOT a fan of Tiger, but I'm starting to tolerate his arrogance more. He is the best in the world. No doubt about that.

I would like to see Mickelson defend. Els maybe. Possibly Singh. I am a Colin Montgomery liker. It's hard to say.

I'll take Mickelson.

Who do you like in the Players Champ. this weekend?

Count on Veejay to take the marbles this weekend.

As for The Masters, I'll take Tiger. Yoiu can have BOTH Singh and Michelson. If either win; you win. Bet's a cold beer at the Con.

DmdMax

PS Texas does have cold beer, right? :)

This is going to be a good year.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Woods, Mickelson, Singh, Goosen, and Els all in the running for the masters.  I think Tiger is going to rebound this week, but look for Phil to take the Players.  He's been there since last weekend practicing, and as long as he makes small mistakes, I think he'll take the Players.  I have no clue on the Masters, but I think Tiger will probably take it.  He's got the motivation.

Born and Raised

Monty can play. I personally think he plays great. Or , should I say DID. He has been so much a part of the European Tour winning the money title 5 times. Been a great Ryder Cup player over the years with a very good record. I think he gets a bad rap because he doesnt fit the "American Standard" of what your supposed to be when you play golf.

He's not my favorite , but I have less of a problem watching a cheering for him than I do Tiger.:lol

Stang,

You cant go wrong with flick, another good option is chuck hogan (if he's still at the Raven south mountain). I took lessons there back in 97,98 and usually it would be me and 7 or 8 pros (PGA, LPGA) on the range. I didnt work with chuck (ray floyd & peter jacobsons pro) but with one of the guys on staff that had come from texas (used to work for harvey penick). Anyway was a completely different experience then any I ever had lesson wise. You really can see the difference between a "pro" level teaching pro and a "normal" teaching pro. 1st time I had someone work with me and not try and totally "rebuild" my swing (I was a 4 growing up) but have somewhat of a "Jim Furyk" swing:confused:

totally amazed at how much they taught me to get out of what I had and to understand what was important to me in "MY" swing.
