Call it what you will... I read the account, saw the differing opinion (from the AH masses) knew that it would get feathers ruffled so I posted. Did I ask/demand for a change to the guns? No. Did I get the typical sentiment expected, you bet.

As far as the "many more losses", yes I read it. However, in that context, I believed he was talking about night flying, which I can't imagine having much success as a bomber gunner anyway. We are both guessing as to what really happened to the other nine recce 110s so it's moot.

Thanks for the book link though, haven't seen that one on the shelves.
