Naval Gun dye markers?
« on: March 21, 2005, 05:54:03 AM »
I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement, but
is it possible to have the shell splashes from your gun turret
be a different color than from other guns?

The reason being this, with multiple turrets firing even different fleets engaging the same target> and the tracers
becoming nigh invisible beyond pointblank range, it becomes
extremely difficult to correct your shot.

I know some navies used dye markers to differentiate
between different salvos, is there any way we could do it for
different guns.   I was thinking maybe a red or yellow color
for your rounds and keep the other guns white or dust.

That is gratitude for you.

On the eve of the first world war, when the british offered support to the french:-

Sir Henry Wilson: "How many english soldiers do you desire for the expeditionary force?"

General Joffre: "Only one, but i will make sure that he is killed"

Ended up with about a million dead helping their country...
