I thought the manned ack had to be down to take a Vehicle base. Every time i tried to take a vh base it had to be down. I just watched the knits take 186 with the ack up. So, whats the deal?

The deal is the Ack shoots the troops.  Whether it's up or not has no bearing on capturing the base.

Mannable ack doesn't fire on it's own. If nobody's in it, it's useless.
