needed:
tape deck... tuner etc..
cable rca to 1/8" male adapter cable... (radio shack)
a decent sound card on a fast computer.. (suggest any creative will do) (ram hardrive and soundcard are most important..)
wav sequencing software.. (cakewalk , protools some freeware can do it.. warez if you want.....)
Large fast hardrive..
Cd burner..
plug your rca cable from the tuner/cassette deck into your input to your soundcard..
Test gains on sample recording to achieve the desired result without distortion or minimal distortion from over gaining it...
record whole tape as a wave file...
figure 10 megs a minute if i remember correctly hence 45 min tape 1 side is 450 megs of data approx.....
Open giant wave file in your sequencer..
(if your machine is weak then manually record each song and then clean it up one at a time..)
Listen and chop each individual song (this should be quick process in a good sequencer)
cut and paste the new waves as individual files...
get your cd writer program and burn the wav files as desired...
press your cd..
